| Scientific novelty of the research is in the following:
- theoretical and methodological grounds of historical education in Kazakhstan are revealed; - sources of development of historical education in Kazakhstan are discovered; - for the first time, the process of formation and development of historical education in Kazakhstan during the explored period is critically comprehended from modern positions and its dependence on socio-political and economic conditions of the society is shown; - an informative characterisation of stages of development of historical education in Kazakhstan has been given; - the contribution of enlighteners and representatives of national intelligentsia to development of historical education has been identified; - specificity of shaping the History of Kazakhstan as a subject is determined, and its role in the development of historical education in the Republic is shown; - influence of the Soviet party and class ideology on development of historical education in Kazakhstan is revealed; - in a dialectic parity both positive and negative experience of development of historical education in Kazakhstan in investigated years are exposed; - trends of historical education development in sovereign Kazakhstan in the conditions of educational process modernisation are revealed.
