The purpose of the research – revealing, generalisation and systematisation of the positive experience of establishment and development of historical education in Kazakhstan during the given period, evaluating prospects and trends of further development of the considered phenomenon.
The tasks of the research: - to discover theoretical and methodological grounds of the process of historical education in Kazakhstan;
- to reveal factors of development of historical education in Kazakhstan in the 20th century;
- to give informative characterization of the stages and reveal features of national historical education in Kazakhstan;
- to expose the contribution of 19th century enlighteners and representatives of early 20th century national intelligentsia on development of historical education;
- to reveal features of establishing the History of Kazakhstan as a subject and to show its role in the development of historical education in the Republic;
- to explore influence of the Soviet party and class ideology on development of historical education in Kazakhstan;
- to reveal and generalise positive experience of development of historical education in Kazakhstan, which promotes further perfection of the examined phenomenon considering today’s requirements;
- to identify prospects and trends of further development of historical education in sovereign Kazakhstan.
