to improve the scheme in the direction of integration, i.e., combining parts and
seals their functional load.
Very often a lot of problems, independent of the
designer, both scientific and technical, limit such aspirations. The more perfect
scheme, the fewer opportunities for the designer to improve it in that direction.
When studying the proposed concepts, the designer should analyse it from
the point of view of reliability. Evaluation of the reliability concept can be
made by a designer on a number of factors: assessment of flexibility, the use of
certain prefabricated components and standardized parts,
security personnel,
etc. The Circuit can be analyzed by the criteria «sales price of its individual
elements,» technology, minimizing size and weight etc.
Technical requirements.
The technical requirements
given in the design
task will be called initial technical requirements. In the most general case, the
list of initial technical requirements of the assignment covers a wide range of
issues. First of all, it contains the «input» and «output»
characteristics of the
mechatronic module and the main parameters of the circuit diagram. Then, a
description is given of the most typical external influences on the mechatronic
module that may occur during its operation, as well as the permissible devia-
tions from normal operation caused by these influences. Finally, measures are
listed to ensure the convenience of the operator, maintenance personnel, the
consumer. These requirements are only part of the
material that the designer
must take into account the designer in the subsequent implementation of the
task. Therefore, prior to the actual construction
of the mechatronic module,
the designer must supplement the initial requirements of the assignment
with the new requirements identified by him on the basis of an independent
analysis of the interaction of the mechatronic
module with the environment,
and also on the basis of industrial, technological and economic considerations.
The supplemented list of technical requirements should give the designer a
comprehensive and fairly clear idea of the process of functioning of the ready
mechatronic module in real conditions [2].
