On the question how financial state impacts on their shopping
(Figure 2), most of them answered that it impacts directly. In other words,
if they have money, they do shopping, if no, they restrict their wishes.
Half of respondents said that the money has no influences and quarter
asked that taking the loans is quiet good idea, but it is unnecessary.
The investigation illustrates that for majority of females the wearing
style has no connection with their job. It means that it does not matter how
respondent is wearing, it has no impact on work place. But for someone
it necessary to keep a dress-code, because this is a crucial part of their
work requirements. This question is important, because it interpreting
how much clothes women spend to look good at the work (Figure 3).
Figure 3 – Impact of the
working place on the
preferences in clothes
Figure 4 – Interest in further
‘life’ of the discarded clothes
Unfortunately, the vast majority of respondents do not care
about further life of cloth and its impact on environment (Figure 4).
Approximately 40 % of respondents said that they do not care about the
fast fashion and the same amount of them said that they do not know
about it whatever. It demonstrates that public does not care about the
issues concerned with fast fashion.
Most of interviewees said that they are not aware of problems about
overconsumption of clothes and don’t want to know about it whatever and
they have no idea about impacts of clothing on the nature. The previous
study demonstrates that humanity will suffer from polluting by clothing
industry [4]. Now, it is really huge number of them, who do not know
what will happen, if every human use clothes in big amounts. In addition,
it was researched that buying clothes makes females more confident and
elevate the mood, which are also very significant. Firstly, with every
clothes the mood will be better, so females will buy more clothes to be
happier. Secondly, the increasing the demand of clothes will lead to bad
consequences. So, both sides of the coin are against to environment.
As a result of this research, it is possible to conclude that more
needs to raise awareness among people about the issue of clothing
manufacturing. Choosing the quality of garment is conventional
action, but it has a big impact on the nature, like when human prefer
quantity. This research also shows that no one is ready to combat with
environmentally problems.
The study has a gap in data gathering, as sample size can be
expanded and include variables wearing style, in depth awareness among
people about the issue and how we can reduce the demand of clothes
to make them enough, but not excess. In addition, improvements in
study can show the work of women’s logic in choosing the garments.
Also, making an observation will raise the quality of data. For example,
when woman will buy some kind of clothes we can simply observe her
expressions, on what she pays attention, on her amount of bought clothes.
It will give a lot of important information, because the actions and words
that were said are different. That is why observation is needed to figure
out the true attitude of women.
The results of this study lead to the conclusion that, present study
achieves the aim in exploring the women attitude to quality and quantity
when buy the clothes and relationships between their awareness and
environmental issues due to overzealous usage of clothing by women.
