IMPORTANCE FOR THE BODY

Abstract: Vitamins are a group of organic compounds necessary for the normal functioning of
the body. Each vitamin has its own unique composition and an important role in maintaining human
health. They are important for the maintenance of the immune system, metabolism and bone health,
as well as for the prevention of various diseases such as scorbut, beriberi and rickets. The lack of
essential vitamins can lead to various health problems, so it is important to make sure that they are
consumed sufficiently in the diet.
Vitamins are divided into two main groups: water-soluble and fat-soluble.
Water-soluble
vitamins include B vitamins and vitamin C, and fat-soluble vitamins A, D, E and K. Also they can
have a positive effect on various diseases. For instance, vitamin E can help reduce the risk of heart
disease, and vitamin D can reduce the risk of diabetes. Nutrition is one of the main sources of
vitamins . A lack of vitamins can lead to various diseases and conditions that can negatively affect a
person's health and quality of life. For example, vitamin C deficiency can lead to scorbut - a disease
accompanied by bleeding and metabolic disorders. The hypothesis that vitamin deficiency can
cause metabolic disorders is quite widely known and researched in medicine. Some studies that can
confirm this hypothesis: "Effects of Vitamin Deficiencies on the Body" (Effects of vitamin
deficiency on the body) is a review article published in the journal Nutrients in 2018.
In conclusion, the need for vitamins
may vary depending on age, gender, physical activity,
health status and other factors. Therefore, in order to find out your need for vitamins and get the
necessary amount, it is important to consult a doctor or a nutritionist.
