Abstract.
The article defines the concept of “independent work”. The teacher can organize students’ independent activity
in the electronic course through the following tools: test, forum, chat, glossary, links to additional resources, wiki, webinar.
Through these elements, the teacher organizes work both within the team and individually. Implementation of the whole
project in an independent mode becomes possible when using electronic platforms. As the most frequently used by high
schools we examined Moodle. Its capabilities are quite wide: it reduces the time for issuing and checking assignments, it
becomes possible to vary assignments in accordance with the level of students’ preparation, the classroom time that can be
used for organizing other forms of educational activity is freed, maximum objectivity and efficiency of evaluating the results
of the learning process is achieved, Additional opportunities for forming students’ competencies as a result of a productive
combination in the electronic contextual course, interdisci And informational approaches. The training platform Moodle
provides teachers and students with the possibility of unlimited free access to various educational resources necessary for
self-employment. The article specifies the principles for determining the goals of education. These include: the meaning of
education is that students must be able to independently solve problems in various fields; The content of education should
be an adapted social experience of solving problems, the institution should form its own experience of students in solving
problems independently. It is determined that before the introduction of the competence approach, the result of training was
expressed in the sum of the acquired knowledge and skills, and now it is the ability to act in different situations.
