The population of rural areas in Kyrgyzstan is 66 percent (2017) of the total population of the country, but at the same time, agriculture provides only 15 percent of the added value in GDP. Directions to solve: Update the National Action Plan for the Prevention of Land Degradation and Land Restoration, create conditions for prevention of various types of land degradation and restoration of degraded lands In order to increase the productivity of agricultural labor and improve the efficiency of land use, take measures to create a land market in Kyrgyzstan To work to reduce the use of inorganic fertilizers and chemicals and create conditions for farmers to use modern environmentally friendly organic fertilizers and plant protection products In order to save surface waters, take measures to reduce losses during inter-farm and on- farm water transportation (restore irrigation systems, canals, trays, etc.) Create "greenhouse" conditions for farmers, contributing to an increase in the area of greenhouses for growing environmentally friendly products The introduction of effective specialization of the regions of the country, taking into account the zone of agriculture in the production of a specific type of agricultural products, also taking into account the natural and climatic conditions of the region To create specialized agricultural zones in the republic ensuring the production of ecologically clean agricultural products, with further extension of successful experience to agricultural zones throughout the republic Introduce a national label for environmentally good products (“organic”, “eco”) Stimulate the increase in the value chain through the processing of agricultural products Green industry The industrialization and development of the manufacturing industry in Kyrgyzstan is the main driver of increasing profitability, creating jobs and improving the well-being of citizens.
