Annotation.
The article presents historical facts about the human victims during the Great Patriotic war of 1941-
1945, the authors reveal the exploits of Kazakhstani athletes who participated in the war. It contains historical information
about the military commissariats established in Kazakhstan and the fate of our compatriots who were called up to the
army, military units, and brigades formed in Kazakhstan in the first years of the war.
Also, this article provides the merits of thousands of Kazakhstani specialists of physical education during the war
and the contribution to the victory of the world-famous Kazakh hero Kazhymukan Munaitpasuly. The contribution of
athletes of the great Patriotic war is considered in General. During the tragic events of the great Patriotic war, sports
traditions in Kazakhstan did not die out. During the war, sports events and competitions continued to be held in
Kazakhstan. During the war several records were set.
This was very important for people – after all, sports victories raised the spirit of the people, strengthened people's
faith in the victory over fascism. Our athletes took part in international competitions, winning such important and
significant victories.
